General Information
The TalentTravel Program for ICM2TS 2026 offers travel grants to graduate students in the field of electrical engineering. It is supported by the Collaborative Research Center / Transregio 196 (CRC/TRR 196) (MARIE), funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG). Submission Deadline for Applications: October 31, 2025.
Notification Date: November 30, 2025.
As part of the travel grants, all travel expenses related to the visit to ICM2TS 2026 will be reimbursed according to Travel Expense Regulations based on the German Federal Travel Expense Act.
Key facts
Flights: For air travel, only the costs of economy class tickets will be reimbursed. Upgraded fares such as "Economy Plus" or similar are not eligible for reimbursement.
Train: For travelling by the train, economy class tickets will be reimbursed.
Public Transportation and Taxi: Costs for public transportation are reimbursable. However, taxi fares are not eligible for reimbursement.
Accommodation: Up to €130 per night will be reimbursed for a maximum of 4 nights. If two or more people are specified when booking a room, it is assumed that the costs will be shared accordingly. Please keep this in mind, as a full reimbursement cannot be provided in such cases.
Catering: Full catering is provided during ICM2TS; therefore, any additional expenses for food will not be reimbursed.
Further Remarks: To receive full reimbursement, you must retain and submit all original receipts and tickets. All expenses, including the ICM²TS registration fee, must be paid in advance by the participant and will be reimbursed after the trip is completed.
